a little bit about myself!

my name is Lucy and I am the founder of lucethreads. 

lucethreads began as a hobby outside of my 9-5 as a way to practice some self-care and take myself away from the endless social media scrolling by finding a creative outlet.

my passion is fashion!! and all things clothes, shoes, accessories and ofc handbags! and so, this teamed with my desire for a creative hobby led me to the wonderful world of crochet!

despite crochet being a new found passion i have always been interested in textiles and a big inspiration has always been my lovely grandma. she made all my mums clothes when she was younger and then progressed to teaching me to make clothes for my teddies! ofc my grandma is now a big supporter of lucethreads!

having studied geography at university i was able to learn the importance of sustainability and more specifically its place within the fashion industry. it is extremely hard to be completely climate conscious in today fashion world but just know by purchasing a lucethreads bag you are making an ethical and sustainable choice and promoting slow fashion.

outside of the crochet world i work within the nuclear industry, another element to my branding which advocates for sustainability.

lucethreads may be a one-woman-band but it would not be possible without the support of my friends and family!
